Long numbers are perfect for addressing the need to gather information from the mobile users (such as sales teams providing daily forecasts) or information requests (such as brochures) without charging the mobile user a premium. Long numbers are currently available from RoutoMessaging with the following countries prefixes. - Mobile users are not charged a premium rate to send messages into Long Numbers.
- Messages may be received from either specific operators or every operator within the country concerned.
- Messages may be received from selected operators outside the country concerned.
- Messages are received by you through our HTTP (to a URL) or SMPP APIs.
- Provisioning of Long Numbers typically takes 1-2 weeks.
- The pricing model comprises of a Connection Fee and a Monthly Fee and a charge for each incoming message – all these variables depend on the country concerned as to whether they exist and if so, what amount. The first invoice will consist of the Connection Fee and the first 3 months’ monthly fee in advance (again, only if these fees apply). Any incoming message fees will be charged in arrears.
- A minimum prepayment for mobile terminated messages is required for new clients.
- Receive text messages to Desktop Application or Command Center and collect all your messages without need for any programming skills.
- RoutoMessaging will provide 2nd line support meaning that we will support you but not support the end / mobile user.
- Certain codes of conduct and / or legal guidelines need to be strictly adhered to – the nature of such varies on the country concerned.
With the RoutoMessaging SMS Desktop Sender you can receive inbound (mobile originated) SMS without connecting to our APIs. It is not necessary to send any messages from the Desktop SMS sender in the first place. This feature is perfect for two way messaging interaction-receiving SMS without any IT resources, software or technical knowledge enabling you to manage everything from one SMS account which you use to deliver messages to your recipients. To do this, you will be assigned a long number, which will be dedicated to receiving messages for your account trough the Desktop SMS Sender. You can advertise this long number and / or specify it in the originator / sender ID field of any mobile terminated messages, to which subscribers reply. Contact us to discuss this service.
