Why use excel2sms?
Sending SMS messages with excel2sms is simple and fast. Since it is an add-in, it is integrated into Excel menu system making it available with just a click.
This means there is no need to exit the Excel sheet, start another application for sending SMS and then define the recipients and content. Instead, you can do it all whilst in Excel.
You can either send messages which are the same to all numbers or create a template, which populates certain fields (that are unique to the recipient) in the template to create different messages to each mobile number.
In addition, you can use SMS templates to create predefined messages and speed up the process even further.
Alternatively, you can include dynamic content by extracting individual user information from your database.
For example, a message from a retailer may follow this template:

excel2sms is a flexible tool which allows you to specify the recipient, sender ID and the message body by simply pasting the information from your Excel file - column by column, making it adoptable to your existing sheet design.
excel2sms is a feature rich tool allowing you to input who the message is to (destination number / recipient), who the message is from (sender ID) and static or dynamic message content, all by selecting cells within columns on your spreadsheet.
Each SMS can include information on who the message is from by either specifying a number, letters or combination or both according to dynamic sender ID guidelines. The content of your SMS message is generated only from what is in your Excel document.
The excel2sms gives you a detailed delivery status report immediately after the job has been completed. It serves as an evidence of the receipt of messages and can be used to compare against marketing response statistics for bulk promotional SMS campaigns.
Amongst other details in the delivery report, it gives you the information on the message status and the time of delivery.
In case your contacts are defined in Outlook, you can easily import their phone numbers by using the dedicated Outlook import option.
The excel2sms add-in also comes with an internal Job Scheduler, which you can use to specify the exact time and date for sending messages to selected recipients.
This can come in handy for making sure the recipients are receiving messages in an appropriate time (avoid sending messages too early or too late because of the different time zones), or simply make the add-in send the messages when you are too busy doing other things.
